Seattle Seahawks Punch Play-off Berth with Nail-biting Extra Time Triumph over Rams.
Tight end Saubert made the decisive two-point play for the Seahawks.
Seattle staged a remarkable fightback to defeat the Los Angeles Rams in extra time, clinching their spot in the NFL play-offs.
Rallying from a sixteen-point hole in the final period, the Seahawks triumphed 38-37 at home, registering their fifth straight victory.
While the Los Angeles had become the first to earn a post-season spot earlier on Sunday, the Seahawks booked their return to the postseason after a 24-month absence.
With this result, the Seahawks now lead their division's standings with a 12-3 mark, replacing the Rams, who fell to the number five playoff position with an eleven and four record.
Game Highlights
Quarterback Darnold had two interceptions but regrouped to make two scoring throws, culminating in the second score to star receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba in overtime.
The visitors held a 13-7 lead at half-time before Walker burst through for a long touchdown run for Seattle.
Rams defensive back Josh Wallace then returned Darnold's initial pick for a big return, setting up a one-yard touchdown by Corum on the ensuing snap.
In the fourth quarter, a scoring pass from Stafford to Nacua extended the Rams' lead to 30-14, but Rashid Shaheed ignited Seattle's comeback with a 58-yard punt return.
Darnold then connected with Barner in the endzone, and a converted conversion sent the contest into overtime.
Although Nacua scored for his second touchdown in OT, Smith-Njigba responded in kind to set up the game-winning conversion.
